G.I. Joe the movie. My wife and I just got back from watching the movie. I normally don't cover new movies for the Film Klub. The reason I did this time was, Shayne and I weren't able to get together to record our second Darkman movie episode. This episode runs about 21 minutes and i try not to give out too many spoilers. The way I jump around the movie I doubt that I gave too much away. |

Ric interviews writer Van Reid about his Moosepath League books. Van also talks about a couple of unpublish books he has written. Please send email to vanreid@midcoast.com Moosepath League Newsletters http://www.midcoast.com/~vanreid/index.htm The Moosepath LeagueFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Moosepath League is a series of books by Van Reid.[1] The books are a loosely connect series of humorous adventures set in Maine in the late nineteenth century. The first book in the series was picked as a NY Times notable book of 1998.[2]
Mr. Walton is a genial Pickwickian character, Sundry Moss is nominally his valet but functions as general assistant and "fixer". Ephram, Eagleton and Thump are a trio of unworldly but thoroughly well-intentioned gentleman bachelors that inject comic farce into the proceedings. Author Van Reid says that the names of the characters Epram, Eagleton and Thump were chosen to evoke the sound of a heavy object falling downstairs.
